So as Christmas drew in closer and the holidays began I was given some heavy advice to up my training regime. As weeks 8-10 pass you usually slack off and plateau; however I devised a full proof plan to conquer this!
So I wrote myself what is known as the world’s most impossible training regime for the 10 day break I had. It goes a little something like this.
22.12
AM – EP session
PM – 3km run, 600m swim
23.12
AM – 1 hour upper body training
PM – 1 hour legs and core training
24.12
AM - 1 hour cardio and core training
PM – 600 swim
25.12
AM – 3km run, 600m swim
26.12
Day off (surfed in Byron)
27.12
Another day off (did a little surfing)
28.12
AM – 3km run, 600m swim
PM – 3km run
29.12
AM – 600m swim
PM – 30 minute core training
30.12
AM - 600m swim
31.12
AM – 600m swim
And that pretty much killed me…but it seemed it wasn’t enough. I think all the rich food and drink at Christmas unbalanced my work outs.
So now hitting week 11 and I’m trying to make up for lost time. I know I am in total plateau now but I’m trying to kick start my body and give it a shock. So back into my first EP session of the year, man Claire loves to see me suffer! But it’s all good and I’m feeling much better for it too! So got two weeks until my next testing, hoping for some improvement this time!
